All Riccardo Tisci fans are rejoicing as we get yet another memorising show from Tisci for Burberry. Riccardo has an amazing record of beautiful, alluring clothing all the way from his 10-year tenure at Givenchy to his creative direction at Burberry today. Tisci's iconic collection for Givenchy with bold rottweiler prints were one of his most prominent and worn by global stars. He truly shaped the brand during his time as Creative Director, and put the name back on everyone's watch list. Many fans of Tisci will be pleased by this collection because this Spring 22 Menswear collection is quintessential Riccardo it has all his classic traits of exotic elegance, razor edges but with an injection of Burberry of course.
This collection was beautiful not only for its simplicity, but we are seeing more of a variety in menswear. I find myself looking forward to men’s fashion week and this hasn’t been the way in the past and it’s because of collections like this.
This season we got new inspiring iterations of Burberry classics, in a few of the looks we see the classic trench sleeveless with a sort of muscle-‘t’ feel to it. Fun fact, the British, in WW2 were supplied with Burberry trench coats just for you interested readers. The collection was full of neutral colours and mixed textures with some pops of colours done right. Lots of beautiful razor-sharp edges and fun cuts feature in this collection as seen in look 19 and others.
My standout of the collection was the jewellery featured in the collection like the chunky orange and pink lucite chain necklaces especially the piercings which are just so beautiful and hard but so chic. This is fashion people learn it and learn it well. This collection not only Features fun colours but hot prints like zebra which is a highly underrated pattern and very flattering and some prints that look like ink blots done in colours like red, black, blue, and in mixed metals. Don’t worry all those logomania lovers out there are some logo tops in the collection but done in a more understated way as seen in look 23.
This collection was yet another amazing creation from the mind of Riccardo. It shows that men don’t have to just dress in boring basics and black tuxedos, they can have fun, and go out in fun Burberry too.
