HOW TO APPLYSTEP 1 - APPLY Complete the APPLICATION FORM From here our admissions team will be in touch within 3-5 business days. STEP 2 - LETTER OF OFFER Successful students will receive a Letter of Offer and a Student Acceptance Agreement which outlines the contractual arrangements and confirms the course of enrolment, duration; campus location; course-related fees and policies. STEP 3 - ACCEPTANCE Formally accept your offered place by completing, signing and returning the Agreement Acceptance Declaration in the Letter of Offer and finalise your funding. STEP 4 - ORIENTATION All students will be required to attend an Orientation the week before classes commence. Invitations will be sent out as part of your Welcome Pack. STEP 5 - COMMENCEMENT We look forward to welcoming you for your first class! FEE-Help Approved: All courses are fully fee-help approved. You may be eligible for FEE-HELP if you: meet the citizenship and residency requirements; are enrolled in an eligible unit of study by the census date for that unit; and have not exceeded the FEE-HELP limit Non-Tuition Fees: 2024 Student Services Amenities Fee (SSAF): AUD $105 Per Trimester (full-time, on-campus) / AUD $78.75 Per Trimester (part-time, on-campus) The SSAF (Student Services + Amenities Fee) was introduced by the Australian Government to help fund support for services such as career advice, food services, well-being support and mental health etc. The SSAF is charged at enrolment and is due on a different date to your tuition fees. Students studying online are also required to pay SSAF. The Institute of Creative Arts and Technology reserves the right to vary the SSAF amount at any time during enrolment in line with relevant legislation. Eligible students can use an SA-HELP loan to pay their SSAF fee.

COURSE DURATIONHow long you take to complete your course of study at ICAT depends on several factors such as the duration of your course, your study load, your academic progression and if you take any time away from your studies. Generally, the maximum number of subjects you can take per trimester is four (for a full-time study load) which is a course duration of six trimesters, or two years. The minimum number of subjects per trimester is two (for a part-time study load), which is twelve trimesters or four years.

TAKING A BREAK FROM MY STUDIESYou can suspend your enrolment to take a leave of absence, for example to travel, for up to a maximum of 12 months. If you want to suspend your enrolment for a longer duration, you will be required to withdraw from the course and re-apply when you are ready to recommence your study. Applications to suspend your enrolment should be made no later than five working days before Census Date to avoid academic and/or financial penalty.

CLASS DAYS + TIMETABLEYou will be able to view your timetable approx. 6 weeks before your trimester starts. Whenever feasible, Student Services will reach out to all students to inquire about preferences ahead of the timetables being released. Please note due to scheduling, this preference option may not be available and class days may already have been pre-selected. Students will be able to access their timetable through Moodle. You will be provided with your individual log in details. Once logged in select the ‘My Timetable’ from the Home Page.

CLASS SESSIONSWe have two class times each day. · Morning session, 10 am – 1 pm · Afternoon session, 2 pm – 5 pm Based on a full-time study load you will study 4 classes per week (2 full days of study a week). The number of classes may vary if you are required to repeat any course requirements, or you make variations to your study load.
