UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER (USI)
All students enrolled in Nationally Recognised Training are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) in order to receive their Qualification or Statement of Attainment. Your USI gives you access to a password protected online record of the training you have done since obtaining a USI as reported by your training organisations. This can be used when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training.
Please provide The Fashion Institute with your USI on enrolment. If you need to create or locate your USI, please go to www.usi.gov.au.
LANGUAGE, LITERACY AND NUMERACY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates are required to have completed Year 10 or equivalent and be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident before enrolling at The Fashion Institute.
If learners feel they may have any language, literacy or numeracy concerns that may inhibit normal participation in training, this must be stated on the enrolment form.
The Fashion Institute will make reasonable adjustments to the delivery and assessment of training to enable participation. LLN support will be available to all learners throughout the duration of training and assessment.
The Fashion Institute offers both academic and non academic support services to assist students throughout the duration of their training.
At The Fashion Institute we acknowledge our obligation to provide personal training and support services for our students It is important that all students have access to a range of support mechanisms. We are committed to maintaining the highest level of student support to ensure you not only complete your studies but also benefit from the highest possible increase in your skill level whilst training with us.
All student resources, including learning materials are included in the course fees.
At the commencement of each semester, students will receive all training support resources including student handbook, unit learner guides, textbooks, assessment outlines and assessment tools.
The learner must have access to a laptop with Windows or Mac OS X operating system, Microsoft Office, internet browser and a reliable internet connection.
NATIONALLY RECOGNISED TRAINING
The Fashion Institute is a Registered Training Organisations (RTO No. 40164), providing Nationally Recognised Training, regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority. This means students have the confidence that they will attain skills of a high quality accepted and recognised everywhere in Australia, not just the state or territory in which the training was delivered.
RPL AND CREDIT TRANSFER
The Fashion Institute recognises and acknowledges qualifications and Statement of Attainments issued by another registered training organisation based in any state of Australia.
Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for this program. Application for recognition is considered on an individual basis. Please note that no more than four elective units previously achieved can be counted towards this qualification.
If you hold a qualification of Statement of Attainment with equivalent units issued by another RTO you can apply for National Recognition.
