Launching in July 2021 our new BSB50120 Diploma of Business is designed for those seeking to develop their skills across a wide range of business functions within the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industry. This course has been designed to focus on the principles of Fashion Business including:

  • Fashion Communications

Students are taught by industry leaders with our Diploma complimented by additional Industry Subjects, opportunities to work at leading Industry Events including Fashion Week, participate in exclusive Internships, hear from iconic Guest Speakers, attend Excursions and become a part of our TFI x LIVE series.

COURSE OVERVIEW

SEMESTER ONE

FASHION PROJECT MANAGEMENT

In first semester students will plan a fashion project, acting as the Project Manager to lead their team to a successful execution. In this semester students will learn and implement project management skills to plan, administer and monitor the project, managing budgets and resources and leading their team to inspire critical and creative thinking. After the project is executed students will then review the success of the project.

ETHICAL & SUSTAINABLE FASHION PRACTICES

As part of the project planning, students will consider the social, economic and environmental impact of the fashion industry and how they can implement ethical and sustainable practices to shape the future of the industry.

SEMESTERR TWO

FASHION ECOMMERCE

In second semester students will learn the skills to evaluate ecommerce models and strategies for use in the fashion industry. Students will design an ecommerce strategy for a fashion brand, including marketing, buying and online sales strategies.

 

Mapped to the following units of competency:

  • BSBTEC501 Develop and implement ecommerce strategy

FASHION COMMUNICATIONS & DIGITAL MARKETING

Following the development of a fashion ecommerce site, students will then develop and apply their knowledge of fashion communications to identify and evaluate marketing opportunities. Students will create a responsive digital marketing strategy to promote the brand. Planning and evaluating the use of social media, creating digital and video content.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Through our Internship Program, The Fashion Institute provides a pathway for students to gain hands on experience within the industry. This program paves the way for students to develop invaluable skills, which will open the doors to a fulfilling career in fashion.

All on campus students become part of our exclusive Internship program and our Careers Manager tailors each program to suit individual aspirations and career goals. This close collaboration ensures placements that are relevant to each student's unique interests and talents.

The Fashion Institute works with over 500 companies and has a reputation for consistently providing our internship partners with high calibre candidates and providing our students tailored work placement opportunities.

Online students have the option to upgrade their studies and add an additional Internship Package to their course to gain hands on experience.
